Christmas & New Year’s Eve Menu Suggestions

 

 

Venison Wellingtons with Rich Red Wine Sauce

Venison sirloin with fig chutney wrapped in dry cured bacon in a flaky pastry parcel - this can be supplied as a whole piece to serve 6-8 people or as individual wellingtons.The wellington will be supplied on a board wrapped in cellophane The sauce will be supplied in a plastic freezable tub which can also be microwaved

PRICE: £7.50 per individual piece or pro-rata for large wellington according to number of servings.

 

 

Leg of Dorset Poll Lamb Marinaded, Boned & Stuffed with Almond & Rosemary Stuffing - Served with a fresh Tomato & Mint sauce

The lamb will be supplied wrapped in cellophane - the sauce will be supplied in a plastic freezable tub which can also be microwaved

PRICE: £65.00 to serve 6-8 people

 

 

Large presentation Steak & Mushroom Pie with an Espagnole sauce

The pie will be supplied on a board wrapped in cellophane and will come with a parchment collar for serving The sauce will be supplied in a plastic freezable tub which can also be microwaved

PRICE: £55.00 to serve 6-8 people  the pie has a 10″ diameter and will be approx: 2.5″deep

 

 

Spicey Meatballs with a Fresh Tomato & Basil Sauce

The meatballs & sauce will be supplied frozen in microwavable tray

Made with beef steak so tender and delicous! The Bourgignon will be supplied frozen in microwavable tray

A delicous lightly spiced and aromatic pork casserole style dish

The Pork will be supplied frozen in microwavable tray

Forest Fresh Foods Christmas Range 2008

 

 

On Thursday 25th September we will be previewing our Christmas Range for 2008 at our New Forest Farm Shop and would like to take this opportunity of inviting you to come and view our range between 6pm and 9pm

 

 

This year will be bigger and brighter and whilst you view our products we will be serving our delicious canapes and wine.

 

 

This is our second year showing our Christmas Range at our new premises on the B3347 Christchurch to Ringwood Road at the intersection with the Avon Causeway - the entrance being from Court Lane.

To mark the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Christchurch Arts Guild the Guild is staging an exhibition in Priory House, Quay Road, Christchurch from August 2nd - 16th 2008. Forest Fresh Foods is proudly sponsoring this exhibition [together with the Christchurch Harbour Hotel and Waitrose] and we wish the Guild much success in the future.We have always supported the RNLI [and will continue to do so] so this is a new direction  for us but one with which we feel very comfortable.

Happy New Year Our first resolution was to try to keep this page up to date with news. We had a very good Christmas and New Year [we closed until the 8th January] and the break was well received by all of us. Starting from stop to go was a bit of a shock but we are back and running - watch this space as we develop new products [gluten free bread is now available at weekends] and  we progress the development of our established lines.

Our Markets !

The first market was a modest success and encouraged us to continue……that’s when the weather stepped in! The next two were cancelled because of the weather - the following market because of the construction work on the new wall that had to be moved back for better visibility at the road junction [town planners!]. The following because…… oh dear need I go on? So what we intend to do is wait for the wall to be rebuilt and then plan a relaunch. We apologise to all who expectantly turned up for the markets…..they will return in one form or another!

Avon Natural Produce Market

We are launching a New Producers Market on Sunday, 22nd April 2007. It will be on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month here, in the courtyard behind our shop.

The central theme is that the produce is natural and local wherever possible.

There will be hot food and drinks available.

Come and meet the people who produce or are involved in the production of the products they are selling.
